Since opening its doors in 1998, the Santa Maria Wisdom Center has provided a holistic roster of adult day health care services under one roof and has connected participants to vital health, rehabilitative, therapeutic, and social services. LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES
The Center also provides opportunities for Cal Poly Graduate Students in Psychology and Marriage and Family Therapy Programs as a learning laboratory to attain practical, hands-on experience in their field. Many CET (Center for Employment Training) MedTech students perform their externships at the Center. We host the placement and and training for individuals in the Workforce Resource Program of Santa Barbara County which strives to move the untrained and unemployed into members of the workforce which receiving minimum wage for their services.
