Grow With Me Parent-Child Group

Life Steps Foundation is partnering again with Help Me Grow - San Mateo County!  Our "Grow With Me" parent-child groups aim to provide education in the area of child development and family support for families with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers at no cost. 

The six-week class group series will be offered for families with infants  ( 6 - 12 months) and ( 12 - 18 months). We will meet virtually over Zoom. We will video conference in our own comfortable space. The classes will be led by our Early Interventionists. 

The program offers: 

  • 6 one hour groups covering different areas of development and how to promote your child's growth and developmental skills 
  • Opportunities to meet other parents and caregivers and learn from each other’s experiences 
  • Fun activities to spend quality time with your child at home 
  • Opportunities to consult with an Early Interventionist or Infant Development Specialist

INFANT GROUP ( 6 - 12 MONTHS)   

Meets every TUESDAY from 10:00 am to 11:00 am for 6 weeks via Zoom.

In each session, we will cover different areas of child development. You are welcome to join any or all the weeks.

  • ·        11/5th:  WE PLAY WE LEARN - PLAY AND FINE MOTOR
  • ·        11/12th:  LET ME SLEEP - SENSORY, CALM, AND SLEEP
  • ·        11/19th:  BUILDING POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS
  • ·        11/26th:  FEEDING AND DAILY ROUTINES
  • ·        12/3rd:  EARLY COMMUNICATION

INFANT GROUP ( 12 - 18 MONTHS)   (Skip 11/28 Thanksgiving Holiday)

·        10/31st:  LEARN WITH MOVEMENT - GROSS MOTOR and FINE MOTOR

·        11/7th:  WE PLAY WE LEARN - PLAY AND SOCIAL SKILLS

·        11/14th:  COMMUNICATION

·        11/21st:  SENSORY DEVELOPMENT

·        12/5th:  BEHAVIOR / SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT

·        12/12th:  ROUTINE / SELF-HELP
