LSF Northern California Adult Services
Northern California Adult Services (NCAS) recognize that behavior is a meaningful expression of an individual's thoughts and feelings. Maladaptive behaviors occur when people do not have the skills to make their needs, wants and desires known.
Programs and Services
Social Dynamics Program - This is a center-based day program for adults with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges, who require assistance and supervision. Our intervention and education training takes place in a low-pressure environment that is rich in positive reinforcement. Trained staff assists participants in learning to communicate their needs more effectively and decrease their reliance on maladaptive behaviors. Our program provides community integration, safety and mobility training, and round-trip transportation to and from the center.
Insight Companion Care - This program provides emotional support and companionship for individuals who are generally healthy and who want to remain independent at home. The program can also include a range of non-medical services that help make an individual's life more manageable. It is designed for Individuals who need assistance with ADL tasks such as ambulation, incontinence, meal planning & preparation, personal hygiene, dressing assistance, medication reminders, grocery shopping, errands and household duties, transportation, supervised walking and fall prevention, light housekeeping, laundry/ironing and changing bed linens, socialization, and companionship.
Profile of Our Participants
