Benel Se‐Liban is the Managing Partner of JBC Group, LLC, a full service minority and women‐owned business-consulting firm whose partners have provided more than 25 years of unparalleled commitment to customer satisfaction in resource efficiency, business consulting, cleantech, sustainability, and human capital fields. She is a CPA with over 25 years’ experience in audit, tax, accounting, financial planning, and consulting services and is an active member of American Society of Certified Public Accountant. Benel was also a former Audit Chair and Board Member of St. John’s Well Child Family Center. She is also one of the pioneering leaders in the Los Angeles Filipino‐American community and the Founding President of the International Society of Filipinos in Finance and Accounting. Additionally, Benel is currently a board member of Foundation of Filipina Women Network (FFWN). Her recognition includes being a 2011 award recipient of the 100 Most Influential Filipina Women given by the Filipina Women's Network and a 2012 Women Making A Difference Nominee given by Los Angeles Business Journal. Benel is a proud wife and mother. Her husband, Dr. Cris B. Liban, is the first Filipino‐American Chief Sustainability Officer at LA Metro. Benel is the mother of JP, who has recently graduated at Purdue.
